Yes, we were under attack! One Turkish ‘friend’ hacked Tube5800.com blog few hours back. He pasted his lovely messages in Turkish language on the homepage as you can see in the screenshot below. The blog was down for few hours due to the hacking attempt. Our web team attacked back and everything is back to normal now.

The latest news is that Russia will be the first country in the world to start delivering Nokia 5800 Tube. At a Nokia-conference held today at Moscow, a news spread out that Nokia Tube will start its journey from Nokia Flagship Store in Russia on December 05, 2008, followed by Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Nokia did not confirmed the news yet with an official press release.

Another news for Russians is that the Tube 5800 XpressMusic is priced too high for them compared to the European version which is just 279EUR. The 5800 Touch Screen will cost approx 16000 RUB (Russian Rubles) in Russia which is equal to almost $600 or 458EUR. The price is still much less than the Russian Iphones ($1000). Read more »

Nokia appears to be overwhelmed by the great response and rave reviews they are getting for their first true touchscreen phone – The 5800 XpressMusic. Continuing the enthusiasm for the touchscreen phones, Nokia revealed their plans to launch a series of touch screen phones ‘very soon’.

Devinder Kishore, Nokia’s marketing head in India, in an event in New Delhi disclosed, “We will have lot of touchscreen phones coming up, including an N-series device very soon.” The Finnish giant is expected to make a formal announcement before X’mas about the launch plans and dates. Read more »

FCC (Federal Communication Commission) is a US authority which examines the new mobile phones and decides if they should be allowed or not for sale. The regulatory approval to Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic is a sign that the smartphone is set to launch anytime.

Qik, a live streaming video service will be available for all Nokia 5800 XpressMusic owners. Qik on their official blog announced that their application will be included in the latest Nokia 5800 Tube model. It will not come pre-installed with 5800, but will be a part of the download folder and users can download it with one click.

Its a remarkable achievement by a new service like Qik which started out just few months back to make a deal with Nokia. Qik is also available in jailbroken Iphones but this is the first time it is officially included with a handset. Read more »
