Microsoft may have finally pulled the shutters on Windows XP but such is the popularity of this OS, that it just refuses to die. Our good ol’ friends at MMMOOO have an emulator for fans of XP, offering the unique XP like feel to our Nokia 5800s.
As you may all know, Win XP is no OS for a portable device and not for phones whatsoever, where Microsoft has its very own Windows Mobile now rechristened as Windows Phone. Since XP was not designed for a phone in the first place, porting the interface to one of the best selling phones is by no means an easy task. Missing the on-screen clock in the power-save mode of the Symbian third edition devices? We are, but unfortunately there is no fix for that yet on the touch based fifth edition. While we are hoping the Symbian team will bring the on-screen clock in the standby screen to our Tube 5800s soon, our friends at Offscreen Technologies have come up with an application that features a full screen analogue clock for s60 fifth edition devices.

Time Machine, the ultimate countdown/ stopwatch app for symbian fifth edition was updated to v2 couple of weeks ago and as usual we decided to give it a spin on our tube 5800. After toying around with the app for 2 days, we are totally convinced that this is the best timer app.
