Application Update Round-up: Fring, Gravity and Ovi-suite

Now that the symbian community is enjoying the luxury of a versatile application support from various genres, the next big thing is the periodic availabilities of updates to these applications. The symbian eco-system doesn’t disappoint us here either, with  frequent updates to some of the most popular applications on this platform.

With Nokia World stealing the limelight for most part of last week in the symbian community and elsewhere, some of the recently available updates for top symbian applications didn’t get the attention they deserved in the web. Fring v3.40.28/29

Gravity v1.21

If you are a heavy Twitter user, you would probably need a more powerful Twitter client and Gravity which is the best Twitter client for symbian devices is aging like a wine!

The latest version brings the following additions to the already impressive feature list:

2. Auto-Connect to any Access Point and Auto-Fallback to WLAN

4. Ping.fm support by simply sending “p message” or “p #group message”
5. Includes a Homescreen Widget for the Nokia N97

Ovi Suite 2.0 (beta)

Ovi Suite which is still in beta got an update to v2.0. You can update the suite directly from within the suite if you are already using one and if not, head over here to get the latest version of the suite.
