Candle Touch: Light a Candle in Your Nokia 5800

How about an idea of lighted candle right on your Nokia 5800 screen? Offscreen technologies did it again with another simple but unique application. Candle Touch is their latest offering which brings a burning candle right on your mobile.

The application looks amazing with a realistic candle plus a wick in the dark background which lights up when you swipe your fingers slowly over it. Touch the screen again and the candle will light off with a smoke effect. Lets see how the application looks like on our 5800s.

What we like:
1) Simple and unique application
2) Good realistic animation effects

What we didnt like:
1) No accelerometer based effects
2) The application gets boring after a few tries

Verdict
The guys at Offscr doesn’t took advantage of 5800′s accelerometer to make the candle behave more naturally. It could have been much better like when you tilt the phone left or right and the candle could burn either way you turn the phone and if the flame goes on the wax it should burn quicker one side more than the other.

The candle looks real, the effects are perfect, the idea is unique, yet there is still no real use of Candle Touch except playing it for fun or tricking your friends.
