Bowman2, which is like the most popular flash based game on the PC/Mac platform has arrived on our 5800 and boy we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it and once we did we assure you that we made good use of it (3 hrs of gameplay at a stretch!).

We have been in the lookout for a vocab app/game for our 5800 since long and it took us long to fall upon anything satisfactory. After scouting the web for a few hours, we found something worthwhile at last-Starts With Word Search.

What do you expect from a game titled “The Most Boring Game”? To bore the hell out of you? Well you are right, the game is infact the one of the most boring ones we have come across on 5800 but wait thats not all to it. We kinda like it too!

The Most Boring Game or as we would like to call it TMBG is a virtual bubble wrap and as you know bursting the bubbles on a bubble wrap is something we gotta admit each one has done at some time or the other. The joy that one gets out of squeezing the bubbles and the delight on hearing them burst is something unparalleled. When the our iPhone killer- Nokia 5800 was first launched, we remember a considerable chunk of critics pointing out to the absence of avid third party applications. Its been around a year since the launch now and not only has the 5800 silenced the critics with its stellar sales of around 8  million worldwide, but the developer community has welcomed the new platform with open arms.

While we have been covering apps from biggies like SBSH, MMMOOO, Offscr, ThinkChange, SPB, etc, individual developers are also coming up with indigenous solutions. Can you list the different sensors onboard on our 5800? Wondering Why we are asking that now? We just happen to stop by this amazing game at the ovi store-Moolan, which reminded us of the capability of our Tube 5800s and no we are not talking about the graphics rendering capability here.

Connect4 Touch is yet another addictive game from Offscr Technologies, with which they have gone beyond just adaptations of classic puzzles and brainteasers to symbian fifth edition platform, by developing an all new game by itself.

While Offscr have always been innovative in their adaptations, their new game Connect4 is a pure delight when we consider the game objective and composition. Its the Weekend and we thought about covering a nice little game to beat the stress and look what we landed upon-BlockGO, an addictive brainteaser from Frienzplay.

The game which bears striking resemblance to the game of Bulldozer of the yesteryears is an excellent adaption of a classic brain teaser on a touch screen platform. Remember those long hours you whisked away engrossed in a game of Tic-Tac-Toe with your best buddy? The game as such may sound silly but has very high entertainment quotient. Even to this day we can’t help but pull out a paper and start playing this classic game whenever we are stuck in a boring lecture or a sleep inducing seminar. We were so delighted when we saw this classic pencil-and-paper game on the ovi store that we didn’t waste any time and straightaway downloaded the application.

Tic-Tac-Toe Touch is another masterpiece from Offscreen Technologies of whom we have been covering an awful lot in the recent times. While we were not very much impressed by their Labyrinth Lite, we can say that the developers are back on track with their latest game-Tic Tac Toe Touch. Read more »
