Fingerprint, yeah we are talking about the same application which makes you look like James Bond or if you prefer Ethan Hunt or whatever secret agent you aspire to be. One of the most “seemingly” sophisticated application got an update from its developers recently.

Ever since we say the voice command feature of the iPhone we have been hoping we would get that function on iPhone killer-5800s. We are not actually surprised that the best selling phone in Europe got an app for using voice commands on our 5800s.

With 5800s coming pre-loaded with an 8GB microSD card ever since its launch, our 5800s have become an convenient portable hard drives for most of us. However owing to the rich media support, a major chunk of our 5800 memory is occupied by mp3s and videos.

Its been quite a while since we have been looking for an advanced file manager cum explorer for our 5800s. While we did stumble upon X-Plore from Lonely Cats, a mighty explorer application on its own, there are a couple of things which are still missing in the app. Thats when we came across SBSH’s latest FExplorer Pro.

Managing Music on your 5800 can be a big headache especially if you don’t have a tagged music collection to start with. Add to that the album art incompatibility and absence of the option of tagging the files directly from our 5800s, there is a dire need for an app that can help us organise and manage our music collection on our Xpressmusic 5800s.

While Shazam, is an excellent application to tag music, its feature set is largely limited to just tagging and linking to the tracks in Nokia’s Music store. Midomi is another competing service, which offers value added features like: sharing a song on Twitter or Facebook, links to lyrics, videos, and artist info for free. Opera, best known for their browsers for both desktop and mobile platforms have just released the beta version of their latest mobile browser- Opera Mini 5. As with every new application on our platform, we gave it a spin and boy, we just love it. Its simply awesome.

While its predecessor- Opera Mini 4 was in itself a revolutionary browser on the mobile platform, Opera just couldn’t cope up with the periodic updates, the symbian browser received via every firmware update. While the symbian browser got faster and got its bugs fixed, the opera mini 4 was left untouched by its developers. Just when we thought the days of Opera on our 5800s are numbered, the folks at Opera are back with an absolute delight with their beta version of the Opera Mini 5. With a high resolution 3.2″ screen of our 5800s, it was only a matter of time before some developer ported the comics to the vibrant touchscreens of 5800s. Thanks to Carnival Comics, the first comics has finally arrived on the symbian stage.

While we grew up on a staple diet of comics from the benches of Marvel and manga from the Land of rising sun, Atomic dreams is the latest entry to our comics menu.
