Ever been in a situation where you had to count something and you always seemed to lose count? We have been in that situation innumerable times and damn we know how frustrating it is. Thanks to Offscreen Technologies’ Counter Touch, we can now say bye-bye to those frustrating “lost count” times.
Counter Touch is yet another handy application from Offscreen Technologies, whose list of impressive applications is growing longer by the day. Its an excellent emulation of a classic counter, the kinda which we see the air hostess/ flight steward clicking, during the head count before a takeoff. While we don’t see any cabin crew using this application in foreseeable future, but we are sure that our readers will find this application very useful for keeping a count of something.

As with any app from Offscreen Technologies, Counter Touch features a single homescreen that is both functional and easy to use. The counter is simple to use and its very intuitive: a tap on the “+”increases the count while that inb “-” decreases the count. The counter can be reset to zero anytime by tapping on the “0″ button in the center of top row.
The app has incorporated vibration alert to provide a physical confirmation of the count so that users can continue counting without having to look at the counter. While we reckon an audible click would have been a more convenient option, we are not complaining for the vibration is as good an alert if not any better than an audible sound alert.
What We Like?
- Excellent design and intuitive user interface
- Option for both increments and decrements in count
What We Hate?
- Absence of audible alerts which may appeal to most users
Verdict
Counter Touch is a very handy app for symbian fifth edition devices and a must have especially for those involved in activities requiring counting on a regular basis. Whether you are a conductor or a cricket umpire or just a keen observer noting random things, Counter Touch is definitely a very useful application for you.
The application can be downloaded for free from the ovi store (remember to login)
