Did you miss out on one of our MyPhone contests? Break no sweat, for now we are telling you how to win yourself a Myphone app, along with other themes and applications from MMMOOO. In case you are wondering, no we are not hosting another MyPhone contest today but our friends at MMMOOO are.
MyPhone just turned a year old and grown from the earliest not so feature-rich v0.01 to the latest version 2.20 with iStyle SMS interface, auto search 3rd-party apps, RSS and weather widgets. To celebrate the occasion, they are holding a contest like no other on the web today. Before we dwell on to the rules of the competition, let us throw some light on the prizes: premium themes, latest apps (including MyPhone) and even pre-release apps from MMMOOO.
When was the last time you wrote an essay? For most of us it was in the high school and gosh we miss those days and the essay competitions. Our friends at MMMOOO now want to know how good a student you were and probably still are with their latest contest. Participants are required to write an essay (yeah a formal one) on MyPhone and how it has changed the way they use their phones.
Here’s the official description of the competition along with the rules:
The Rules of the Competition:
1. There’s no limitation of the essay, however, it will be better with photos.
2. Send us your story to owen.wang[at]mmmooo.com with the title [Essay Competition][Your title]. Any other title will not be accepted. We will post your essay at our blog for readers. The competition starts from now to 2009-08-20 12:00 PM Beijing Time.
3. From 08-20 to 08-23, we will open a polling for all of the posts. The polling result will be a part of the final result.
4. The final winner will be announced at 2009.8.24.
Prizes to be Won:
1. First prize.
Three winners, each will gets 5 themes from our shop and chance to get our pre-release apps (5 in all, you can choose our previous apps or get our demo apps in the future, the same to the themes).
2. Second prize.
Seven winners, each will gets 3 themes from our shop and our new app, Win7 or MyPhone.
3. Third prize.
Ten winners, each will gets 1 theme from our shop or MyPhone.

@Karan- You have to write “Essay Competition- Title of Essay” in the subject line of your email.
Some examples-
Essay Competition – MyPhone, The Ultimate Magical Application for Tube 5800.
Essay Competition – How MyPhone Turned My N97 into a multiple UI phone.
Essay Competition – MyPhone Combines the Looks of Iphone with the Power of Symbian.

@Pradeep-If you are talking about the length of essay, there is no official word on that. I guess it should be at least 400 words. Please ask your questions on the essay competition in their comments section at-

Hey Admin I got the myphone tube5800 edition two weeks ago, and there’s this new version. How do I upgrade? Do I need to purchase it again? Or are their discounts for upgrade users?

@ChrisMo- Buddy, You should already have the latest version, check it.
MyPhone offers free lifetime upgrades. The latest available version is v2.20, if you have an older one, just download the updated file in your id center at the MMMOOO site where you must have registered before buying.
