Moove Brings Touchless Music Player Control to 5800sFiled Under Nokia 5800 Applications
Does the name eyeSight ring any bells for our Tube5800 followers? If it doesn’t let us remind you that it is the same company which released the magical eyeCall application which we gaveaway in one of our Tube5800 contests dating back to June 2009! We have come a long way indeed and so has eyeSight which recently released their music player-Moove, which does more than playing the music!
Perhaps the title of the post gave it away already, and if that didn’t the screenshot of Moove MP3 player welcome screen on the left should have. The USP of this app is not the music player but the control mechanism which puts the front facing camera to good use. Find out what and how of Moove on 5800s, after the break.
Isn’t that a cool UI for a mp3 player? It is and much more than that. Take a look at the demo video to get an idea of what we are talking about.
So yeah, Moove allows you to change tracks with a flack of an arm. How cool is that? Need to pause a track? Just hold your hand over the front facing camera! Only if they could come up with similar control gestures for other commands on 5800s!
What we like?
- Sleek UI
- Command gestures are intuitive
What we don’t like?
- Absence of command gesture for previous track
- Absence of album art
Moove is another cool application from eyeSight, which though has a very basic premise of being a mp3 player, adds in tons of fun with its unique command gestures which are recognized by the front-facing camera. Perfect to get those nods of appreciation in a party! The music player is not very robust though but hey this was supposed to be a cool application and it very much is.
