Looks like our friends in the North America just got lucky for Nokia has now officially launched the Navigation Edition of Nokia 5800 in the land of McDonalds and Walmarts.
Along with the chrome bezel along its rim, the navigation edition of Nokia 5800 comes with lifetime license of voice-guided drive and walk navigation in the North Americas (USA and Canada) and an auto kit consisting of Nokia Car Charger (DC-4), Car Holder Pack (CR-103), Rotating swivel adaptor (AD-69) and Easy Mount (HH-17). Looks sweet right and we haven’t even mentioned the price yet. At US $299 and a further $50 mail-in rebate on signing up for an Ovi account, this is one of the must haves for the Americans, this holiday season.

In case you are new to the whole Ovi Maps eco-system, take a look at this promo made for the Navigation edition of 5800 for the European Markets:
Fans of 5800 may remember that the navigation edition was first launched in Europe sometime in late August this year, rubbishing rumours of 5800 being scraped out in wake of launches of budget devices from Nokia including the Nokia 5530, low end clone of 5800. The recent launch of 5800 Navigation edition in the US seems to indicate that Nokia is no mood to phase out one of its most popular handsets in the recent times.
With the amount of travelling you are gonna do this holiday season, a navigation edition of 5800 is sure gonna come handy and at US $ 249 (after $50 mail-in rebate), you can’t get a better deal for a smartphone that is as well-equipped as the Nokia 5800 is. So, waste no time and head straight to the Nokia US store and get yourself the navigation model, for the $50 mail-in rebate is only valid for purchases made prior to December 31st this year.

the old 5800 should be given free licenses. This one is cheaper too. Learn from Apple, Nokia. When people felt cheated they sent out $100 checks.
