Nokia still did not have an official word yet anywhere about the release date, but the rumor markets are hot. The blog NokNok revealed that they have an ‘insider’ news that the 5800 SmartPhone will find its way to Spanish stores on December 1 this year. This will be just prior to the Nokia World, taking place in Barcelona on December 2-3.
The Spaniards will get the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in €279 (check update below) as reported by NokNok. For those at the back, the phone comes with a 3.2 inch screen, support for 16GB SD cards, a 3.2MP snapper and a string of neat embedded games. A Comes With Music version will be showing up later next year.
Earlier a news spread out that Russia will get the Nokia 5800 first this year on December 5, which still holds to be true. It looks like now that Spain can have the touchscreen phone few days earlier to Russian launch if the ‘insider’ news claimed by NokNok comes out to be right.
The gossips are not going to halt till we hear some official announcements by the Finnish company. No matter which country gets it first, people from all over the world have their fingers crossed and excitements rolling till they can actually grab the phone.
Update: The above price of €279 by NokNok does not seem to be true now. We got a latest update from our Spanish friends that the local Nokia stores in Spain are reporting it to be at a price tag of €429. This is confirmed by Nokia (Spain) website too. This is a disappointing news for Spaniards and not a good move by Nokia. However, the Spanish people will get €100 worth of music downloads free in Nokia Music Store when they buy Nokia 5800 in Spain at this price. We shall wait for more official updates from Nokia to get the picture clear.

Nokia’s Store says it will cost 429€ here in Spain. It’s 279€ VAT 100€ of music downloads. Now that we’ll have to pay 100€ extra euros, I won’t buy it. But I would if it cost 329€

Sadly, it seems as if it’s going to an expensive one.
Nokia.es says 429 eur.
Well, I thought of buying this phone, but if it is this expensive, I’ll have to think about it again. Here’s a link to Nokias spanish online store.

Friends, thanks for the updates from Spain. Its disappointing to see that Spain will get a high price version of Nokia 5800. It looks like other countries may see a price hike too at the launch time.
We updated the post too above. Lets wait for the official launch date to check what more Nokia has on cards.
