@Admin:
Dude, the shizzle of 5800 is dying. What with the N900, the tablet+phone=true mobile computer, the X6 and the N8, the 5800′s far behind the competition.
The X6 has almost the same features of the 5800, only better. And arguing that 5800 is better than the new phones from Nokia is a losing battle.
The 5800 had a good run, and it’ll be the first touchscreen device I ever used and loved, but it’s been replaced by the N900.
If only Nokia would do some changes on the 5800, such as:
01) Increase the camera’s capabilities. Pictures taken on the 5800 suck compared to the same older 3.2 mp camera of N73.
02) An image+video editor on board with a host of features.
03) Complete social network integration, such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace.
04) Get rid of that annoying side bar when you turn the phone in landscape mode. It should appear at the bottom of the screen.
05) A homescreen in landscape.
06) Complete workability in all four directions. I mean that the ability to rotate the phone in all four directions.
07) FM Transmitter (although I’m a bit vague on this one, if it’s a hardware issue)
08) Some magical way of using the memory on the microSD card as RAM.
09) Multiple homescreens would be an absolute miracle.
10) Support for 32gb microSD cards (just imagine!).
11) The SIM card feature, though touted as, is not hot-swappable. The phone goes into a stupor when you take out the SIM card and doesn’t recognize it when you re-insert it unless you restart the phone.
12) Ability to play ALL media files.
13) An in-built call recorder.
14) Full flash support.
15) A firefox browser would be great, but I’m not setting up my hopes that high.
16) A native app which lets you take notes, like ScratchPad.
17) A native paint app would be great. I know there’re versions which you can download, but having them integrated is a totally cool experience.
18) PDF Reader and Docs2Go set as a standard.
I guess that sums it up, doesn’t it? I suppose I could’ve written a whole blogpost about it.
I know it’s not proper netiquette to write these things on a post written about Dilbert (who rocks), but hey, I needed to vent out my emotions.

@Nabeel
Never gonna happen. Nokia wants you to upgrade to either the X6 or a new Symbian^3 device. They might give a pithy update here and there, but that’s it. I’m ready to upgrade at the end of this year anyway so I’ll be looking at either the N8 or, more than likely, the new MeeGo flagship.
As for Dilbert, I like Dilbert but when they needed to access all my information and do all that, I didn’t bite. Seemed like a real nice way for them to flood your mailbox with spam and gain access to your info to use it for whatever purpose they wanted.
