Shazam Track ID- Identify and Tag Music on the Go

Heard a tune you like but cannot identify the track? No worries, Shazam TrackID will find the track for you while you sit back and enjoy the tune on your Nokia 5800, be it in a pub, hotel lobby or that radio stream from the web.

Shazam TrackID is an awesome app, which can identify music in a matter of seconds, thanks to its exhaustive database, it can hunt down almost any track that is out there on the web. Not only does it identify the track but can also link to the Nokia Music store all within the app. We are so bowled over by this app that we feel we were missing out on some of the coolest features of our Tube 5800s till now. Lets see what makes us say that.

The app has an eye-catching interface that is very intuitive and easy to use. Just tap on the track id, point your 5800 to the nearest speaker and you are as good as done. Shazam will scout its database and in a matter of seconds, it will ID the track and link to the Nokia Music Store. The integration of several hardware and software features is what we like the best in this application. We are very much impressed by the speed of response and the gigantic database could trace every track that we could throw at it, all in a matter of seconds.

What we hate?

1. The app auto-installs Shazam theme (nothing wrong with the theme but we prefer being informed of the same prior to the installation)
2. Data intensive application (Astronomical data charges ruin the fun that the app promises)

Verdict

We are very much impressed by the capabilities of this tiny app which adds on to “Wow” features of Tube 5800. Our Xpress Music has never felt so complete and we can say that Shazam should be installed on every Xpress Music device out on the street today. If you don’t have Shazam on your Xpress Music device, we can only say that you are missing out on the coolest music feature of your device.
