How many times have you returned from the supermarket only to realise that you missed that carton of milk or that whole wheat bread? Sounds familiar right? Guess what, 5800ers now have a way around this, thanks to Inova IT for their amazing app- Shoppy for symbian fifth edition devices.
Shoppy is all that you would expect from a shopping aid and more! We are not exaggerating whatsoever but this is one handy app to have on your 5800, when you head to that supermarket. Let’s see what makes us say that, after the break though.
Screenshots-

The first thing you gotta do to start with Shoppy is sign up for an account, which can be conveniently done right within the app. Once the account is setup, creating a shopping list is just a couple of taps away. One can organise the items into different pre-defined categories. Looks like the developers forgot to run the spell check before publishing this app but we are not complaining. (But seriously what the heck is Jevercy?)
Moving on, you can sync your shopping lists with your online Shoppy account and exchange shopping lists with your friends on Shoppy. This comes in handy when you are sharing an apartment with someone, where in flat mates can just add their shopping lists in their respective shoppy profiles and share with each other.
What we like?
- Online synchronisation is cool
- Ease of use
What we don’t like?
- Absence of reminders
Verdict
Shoppy is one of the most impressive Getting Things Done (GTD) app we have seen on our 5800s. Not only does it do what it is supposed to do but it also takes it to new levels by incorporating online sync and sharing with friends. While the app covers almost all the bases of shopping lists, 5800ers should make it a point to keep their 5800 handy the next time they are in supermarket. This is where the missing reminder could have come into picture, but even in its absence, its one of the more useful apps that you can unearth from the ovi store, and yeah its free.

Well, have downloaded, looks impressive, but… a widget? You need to be online all the time while using it, I don´t really like this, and will avoid it, until an offline solution like this comes to light!
