After breaking sales records in so many countries, Nokia 5800 is still in no mood to slow down. The Tube 5800 phone launched in Thailand this weekend sold out completely within a few hours.
The phone started selling at 1 in the noon while the people started queuing there from 5 in the morning. Despite of a hot burning temperature of 35C and hundreds of people gathered at the venue, everything was well managed by Nokia staff.
They have food for the customers in queue all the time. For those who got tired or felt hot, they also have refreshing towel for free too! Wow! However, there was nearly no need since the queue went quite fast as soon as the sales started because of a number of cash counters Nokia managed for the customers.
Launch day witnessed the sale of 3000 units and this was pre-booked sale only. Nokia 5800 will be available now for general public in next few days all over Thailand.
The shipments for Nokia 5800 reached one million milestone almost a month back with its astonishing sales figures coming out from wherever the Tube got launched, be it Russia, Hong Kong, Philippines, UK or recently India. It was no surprise to see similar craze again in Thailand this time.
Sittiphol Phanvilai from Forum Nokia Blog has some interesting pics from the event, have a look-
