Heard about the Symbian^3 and wondering if you would ever get it on your 5800? Well, you don’t have to wait for long for Theme Master AJ23 over at AJ23 blog has skimmed some of the visual elements of Symbian^3 as a theme for our 5800s and other symbian 5th and even 3rd edition devices.
While it’s no doubt that the Symbian^3 announcement has taken the mobile industry by a storm with inclusion of some of the most sought-after features, the recent announcement of Symbian^4 has taken the Symbian platform to an all new level. So while the Nokia engineers and hackers break their sweat over coding and porting atleast one of these platforms to our 5800s, let’s enjoy the theme on our 5800s.

Now that looks appealing, doesn’t it? Well yeah, it doesn’t have the high gloss and design of some of the top themes from Babi or TehkSeven but it does a great job of mimicking the UI or rather the colour scheme of Symbian^3 on the symbian 5th and 3rd edition devices. Some of the customized icons are well-designed and the designer does deserve a little credit for the icons and the dual-colour QWERTY keyboard.
What we like?
- Good colour scheme (matches well with the released Symbian^4 UI)
- Well-designed icons
What we don’t like?
- Absence of customized icons to some of the popular third-party applications
- Background not as appealing as the ones in top themes
Verdict
We would rather say that the Symbian^3 theme will be a fad, with some enthusiasts downloading and using the theme for a week or two after the announcement and may be later when the full Symbian^3 platform is released to the market.

Well i just wanted to ask u whether the real Symbian^3 really gonna come on our 5800′s??,if yes then when? i had read it somewhere on the internet , is it true?? i dont know anything bout it , so could you plzz tell me if you know anything bout it.

No this is not possible. Already the hadware does not match. Symbian^3 features multitouch. However, the 5800 has a resistive screen.

This theme added plugins that changed the transitions between screens on the phone. They do not go away even after the theme is removed. Running V30.

Ha! Don’t install new themes the same night you update your firmware, you’ll think the theme changed stuff it shouldn’t. Eeee. Anyway Symbian^3 is a great theme!
