Total Recall: Everything You Need in a Call-Recording App
Filed Under Nokia 5800 Applications
Total Recall is amazing stuff and no we are not talking about that Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie of the early 90s but a killer app from none other than Killer Mobile. If you have had a symbian phone before, you would have probably heard or had this app on your phone for this is one of the most popular apps on symbian front.
Like you guys know, keeping track on all your telephonic conversations is by no means an easy task. Don’t you wish there was an telephone call recorder app which could seamlessly record all your incoming/outcoming calls without the other party learning about it? If yes, is your answer, then Total Recall is what you need. Catch the screenshots and review, after the break.

Like you see it has a very intuitive and easy-to-use UI and the killer feature has to be the beep-less telephone recording and caller-id wise naming of recorded files. These are some of the most sought-after features in a call-recording app and very apps cover all of them and Total Recall happens to be in this elite league.
Let’s now take a look at the complete feature-set of Total Recall:
- No BEEP Recording
- AMR & WAV support
- Auto send Clips via SMS, email & MMS
- Unlimited Recording Time
- Extremely small footprint
- Record extremely memory efficient AMR format (File size less than 100kb for a typical phone conversation lasting a few minutes)
- Very Intelligent clip naming (Caller ID, Different icons for incoming and outgoing calls)
- Send clips via BT, Irda, Email and more!
- One button clip transfer
- Copy clips to your Gallery easily
- In-Application User Guide
- Manual Recording via Simply Hot Keys
- Autostart on reboot
- Option to Record All or Only Incoming or Outgoing calls
- Record automatically, or be prompted to save/record - it’s your choice!
So, you see that’s pretty much everything you would ever need in a call-recording app. We liked it so much that we are going head over heels for having taken so long to spot this app! Not only does it cover all the features we were expecting in this genre of apps but it also goes beyond our expectations with its auto-send option. Its actually much better than a digital phone recorder or a physical phone recording device which sells for hefty prices.
What we like?
- Beep-less recording
- Auto-start on reboot and completely hidden operation
- Auto-send which one can schedule for easy backup of all telephonic conversations
What we don’t like?
- The icon is kinda low resolution for our gorgeous 5800 screen (Kinda lame but we had to fill-in this section with something!)
Verdict
Like we said before, we are totally bowled over this app and needless to say it’s a must-have for your 5800s. It goes far beyond our expectations for this genre of apps and at USD 17.99, delivers more features than the price-tag may seem to suggest. So, waste no time and get this killer app from our App store.
