TwitBreeze- Lightweight Twitter Client for Nokia 5800
Filed Under Nokia 5800 Applications
Twitter is one of the most happening networking services today and tweeting has caught on to the imagination of most of the net savvy crowd. With 3G/EDGE services becoming more a necessity than luxury these days, mobile devices are increasingly being used for tweeting. There are a number of twitter clients available for 5800 and TwitBreeze is one of the most recent to have surfaced on the Ovi store.
While twitter clients have a fairly limited presence in the ovi store, the competition is rather fierce with Gravity and Stew setting high standards for a twitter client. How TwitBreeze measures up to the competing clients? Let’s find out after the break.
Screenshots-

Twitbreeze is a java based app, so its rather light on memory but is also doesn’t make full use of the hardware of 5800s. Interface is rather mediocre and buttons are way too small for finger touch operation. However, the app does cover the full featureset of twitter functions.
What we like?
- Light application, loads fast and light on memory
- All twitter functions are covered
What we don’t like?
- Not optimized for finger touch browsing
- Mediocre interface
Verdict
As we said earlier, Gravity has indeed set high standards for a twitter client on 5800s and Twitbreeze, we are sorry to say is not even on the same page as Gravity. It fails miserably in several departments and being a java based application is just not tweaked for hardware of 5800.
However considering its a free application, its unfair to compare it with Gravity but still we would any day prefer Tweets60 or Stew to Twitbreeze, if we have to recommend a free twitter client for 5800s. If you have like a hundred apps on your 5800 and need something very light for tweeting, then Twitbreeze is something you might need.

I’d stick with Tweets60. It’s much more visually stimulating and is still quite light on memory. I prefer it over Gravity just because it’s free to use and is regularly updated.
