XpressBeer is a fun application written by Mobile Master for S60 5th Edition devices like Nokia 5800, N97 and 5530. It turns your phone into a Beer Can. With one click your beer will fill up & ready to drink.
The accelerometer based application is written in Phython and of course for free. Just install Python and the XpressBeer file in the same memory. Check the video demo below. While this is a fairly well done application, it is an early beta, though, so don’t expect it to be perfect and realistic as Hottrix’s iBeer.

Not bad… But I hope for a better version.. More realistic maybe.. And it’s too much sensible the accellerometre from my point of view. The beer ends too faster with a little lean of the phone..

Its a good idea. I agree with others that the accelerometer is very sensitive.
Also i think they should include something to sense your touch to the phone to decrease the beer.
Currently, even if you tilt the phone without touching ur lips, it still decreases the beer.
Nonetheless, hopefully, a step in the right direction.

hi guys,
I also had the same problem with Afrasiab & Calvin..
I did install python 1.9.5
then restart my tube
install xpressbeer.
It didn’t workout after I open from the icon.
Then I restarted again
and .. it still doesn’t work out..
Is there any clue?

Guys, there is no secret to make it work
You have to install Python and XpressBeer in the SAME MEMORY and restart the phone. Nothing else.
Check again and confirm if you have installed both files in same drive.

Hey all of you having problems just follow these steps and you will be fine:
1. Make sure that the location of “XpressBeer” and “Python 1.9.5″ is in the same drive
2. Install Python
3. Install XpressBeer (ignore all conditions mentioned about internet and all)
4. Switch off your phone
5. After a few minutes switch it back on
Now try the application!!!

Fisr Time i was installing it on memroy card… and it was not opening at all… now i saved it on phone memory and when it is opening it writes some text saying that there is symbbian error [errno - 46]KErr Permission Denied and so ono….
2 days lost doing this uselles prog….

dude,,i installed the app..then it dint wrk..bt like i installed xpressbeer..n the phython file ws corrupted..
nw it has an icon on my application menu wich is nt even getting clicked nor deleted..dunno wt to do..?

Installed onto memroy card no problem, but this would be even better if it was a bit smoother and most of all had some sound, but well done for a great effort so far.

Hi,
It’s a cool app. I have installed this app on my 5800XM and without restart I installed the beer application and it’s working fine. So no need to restart your mobile. Just check after installing the file. if it doesn’t work then restart your mobile.

This apps wants access to everything, internet, bluetooth etc. I would not trust it without author providing full explanation why phone alerts xpress beer needs these. Stay clear till proven not taking control of your phone.
